I have been using OMH for several months now. Last week I installed Outlook 2013 (running on Windows 7 64bit) and, since then, have been having problems with syncing my Contacts.

Syncing appears to only work in one direction. New records made on Outlook are not replicated on the OMH server. However new records on the OMH server are replicated on Outlook.

I have done a reset of the data on the server from the desktop. All records on the server were successfully deleted but have not been replaced. The server shows no records at all for contacts. I then entered a new record on the server and this was then shown on the desktop!

Help! Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong?

Ian

Hi Ian,

are you sure that you selected the correct folder to be synced?

From the Preferences settings, under the Calendar/Contact tabs you should be able to select the Outlook folder to be synced. Please double check this setting.

Thanks,
Francesca

Hi Francesca,

Thanks for the response. My settings were correct.

However, I have just logged out of the website and when I logged back in again, all my contacts were there. I then did another change from the desktop; this did not appear on the website until I logged out and then back in again.

Is this the expected behaviour?

Thanks again.

Ian
P.S. OMH is an excellent way of keeping all my devices in sync.

Hi Ian,

have you tried to refresh the page or use the “Refresh” button, if you are in the contacts section, after synched the modified contact?

Thank you
Best Regards

Alessio

Can I please request some help. I just installed Outlook 2013 and I have not been able to sync since. Either way, server to machine or machine to server.

I have checked my settings multiple times. I have checked for the Redemption.dll file in C:\Users\Desktop\AppData\Local\OneMediaHub\bin and it is there.

I am running Win 7 32 bit (with all updates current) and One Media Hub 12.0.5.

I have attached the sync log as well.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi chedberg,

from the log i can see that you have an error accessing Redemption.MAPIUtils object.

You can see the possible solution on this thread:
http://help.onemediahub.com/?topic=error-accessing-redemption-mapiutils

Please let me know if this can help you.

Thank you

Alessio,

That solution did not help me. I am running a different OS than kermit and I don’t see the same information in my registry as they did.

Plus, it looks like kermit ended up on OneMediaHub 11.0.8, which I know won’t work with Office 2013 because the addin automatically gets disabled and Outlook 2013 crashes when it is enabled.

Are there any other options to resolve my problem.

Thank you,

Corey

Apparently One Media Hub updated on its own because I am on version 12.1.3 now.

Sadly, the syncing – or non-syncing – problem as it is persists.

Any other suggestions?

The newest sync log is attached.

Corey

Same for me. Updated to 12.1.3. I uninstalled and installed fresh (rather than over existing install). Still didn’t work. Sync log attached.

Please help!

Hi Chedberg & Whistler,

Could I ask you to unistall OMH Windows, restart your machine and install OMH client again.

If the issue still present, could you please send me your Windows Version, Outlook Version and if you have installed other’s outlook plugin/addin and which, which antivirus, and if you have administrator rights in your pc.

Thank you
Best regards
Alessio

Hi Bianco,

I uninstalled, rebooted, installed, still doesn’t work. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, Office 2013 Pro (Outlook 2013). The only plugins other than OneMediaHub are default install by Microsoft. I am using Norton Security Suite. I have administrative rights.

Hope that helps!!!!!

John.
